The Swansea Bay City Region encompasses the four local authority areas of Neath Port Talbot, Swansea, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire.
We bring together business, local government and a range of other partners, working to a common goal of creating economic prosperity for the people who live and work in our City Region.
An impressive number of multinational companies including Tata, Amazon, South Hook LNG, Admiral, Virgin and GE have already made significant investments here. As a region we will make the most of our opportunities and our potential to attract and secure more investment.
Our vision for the region is that by 2030 South West Wales will be a confident, ambitious and connected European City Region, recognised internationally for its emerging Knowledge and Innovation economy.
To achieve this, our work will now focus on delivering the Swansea Bay City Region Economic Regeneration Strategy.
The Swansea Bay City Region Board will oversee this work.
We will continue to engage with Businesses and other interested parties to identify the priorities for the Swansea Bay City Region going forward, ready for the new structural funds programme when it is open for business.
